Gone are the V6 and four-cylinder F-Type variants, but the now V8 and rear-drive only Jaguar sports coupe is more affordable than ever. Dan hits the track and road to find out if the P450 Coupe is the pick of the pared-back bunch.

I want one. It might be my last car ever and I think it's certainly worthy of that occasion. Nice review!

Good review, lovely car but no one is cross shopping this with a Mustang. They may be more expensive than they used to be but still almost 100k cheaper than this. Cayman, M4 or C63 Coupe is the natural competition.

Great review Dan.
The F-Type has always looked sensational
I love the facelift
Looks sharper and more modern
BRG with the tan interior is perfection
No more of these at all, once Jag go all EV in 2025…
🚗 💥 💨

Very nice review. I have the V6 and love it. I'm waiting for a V6 or 450 2021 to come down in the used market. Love it.

I agree that the P450 is the one to buy, it's a value proposition, you get a great sounding V8 and all the style for $20-30K less than the R.

The best colour ❤
If the xe had it I would have chosen that over the Firenze red I went for...

This is the only colour for a F-Type.

I find it strange that there hasn't been a comparison/mashup, anywhere in the world, of the 2.0L Jag Vs hot hatches or cars like the Alpine, etc. I don't think people would cross-shop the Jag 2.0L with say an AMG A45s however, such a performance comparison would be interesting.

Bro, get your facts straight....the 2.0 is still here, it's the V6 that's gone...

Would imagine that power figure is a bit of a wink and a nod.

Still prefer the pre facelift looks to this this new one. Looks too much like an Audi for my liking. That said I much prefer something this sonorous and so character compared to the dull 911.

Does it actually handle grip? Just seems to be sliding all over the place.

Jaguar F type must go on production in an internal combustion engine..(I.C.E.) ..And a 4cyl turbo engine .or steady on 6 cyl engine..
Toyota Japan won't go for the total electric cars..because lithium is rare substance and expensive..another one no mechanic knows electronics...except simple electrical circuit..
Diesel Ang gasoline engine is still be continued..

Far too heavy for the track, just listen to the tyres complaining! I have the V6S, much better balance.

I hate the facelift. The F-Type used to look so aggressive and sinister. Now they've made it more round and gave it the generic squinty eyes headlights.

Lovely car but the lexus LC500 is basically the same thing only better in every way. Looks just as good, naturally aspirated, sounds just as good maybe better, better built and more modern inside and out, and you know it will not break in a couple of years of use. Oh, and it actually has back seats. Did I also mention it's cheaper (not sure if this applies to australia though)?
