SCP-093 - Red Sea Object

SCP 093 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as Red Sea Object.

SCP-093 is a primarily red disc carved from a stone composite resembling cinnabar, with circular engravings and unknown symbols carved at 0.5 cm depth around the entire object.
If SCP093 is removed from a mirror and not held by a person, it will seek out the nearest mirror-like surface.

The most terrifying thing is, it's not an alternate dimension. It's an alternate timeline. That world's geography, all the continents and mountains and stuff, is the exact same layout as our earth. And all the cities are in the same places too, just given new, more religious-sounding names. (Los Angeles, for instance, is called something like "The City of Angelic Glory".) In fact, it used to be completely identical to our universe up until "He" showed up.

By far one of my favourite SCPs, weird creatures, detailed story, no plot armour and simple anomalous object. I still want to make a disc like SCP-093 with resin like and a suction cup to stick on my mirror just to give some realism.

One of my personal favorites. I think it was the first one I read exploration logs for, so it’s real nostalgic, and I enjoy the world building for the other universe. I was under the impression that the Lord’s Tears were what created the faceless monsters, and not the other way around, though maybe I’m just misremembering something.

The scp tale lord blackwood in the land of the unclean is a must read for anyone who is a fan of this scp. Such a fantastic story that goes into all the details about this other "dimension", like how it became that way, what the lords tears are and do, and the leaders of said dimension. Truly fantastic.

Someone commented that the disc is kind of like a doorknob, and that makes so much sense. This SCP and the stories remind me of Alice in Wonderland or Coraline or Narnia, where they all go through a hidden doorway to another dimension

While I commend this condensed version of this SCP. I implore anyone who found this snippet of this SCP to read it in full. It is a masterpiece of fiction, and one of my favorite stories written to date. This is only the very surface of what happened to this world and what the foundation learned.
