'Celestial' - Vassilis Papadopoulos

"Celestial" - composed and produced by Vassilis Papadopoulos.

Being in Lockdown for all these months as the most of you, I had to find a way not to go bananas. So writing songs and recording them has been my new routine, since I couldn't perform. But this particular track started as a personal bet, where I said I would record an instrumental track without playing any guitar or other physical instrument and without singing or adding any of my vocals at all. I was curious to see what it would sound like if I was taken out of my comfort zone of doing things.Of course all the instruments and goodies acquired over the years helped a lot.So i started with some nostalgia 80's sequencing sounds I really loved and step by step all the rooted memories of my youth in my musical upbringing started to show up in the track.
From Alan Parsons Project and Mike Oldfield to Jean Michele Jarre and even Giorgio Moroder, one by one the elements of all my influences started falling into place to finally form "Celestial".
I hope you'll enjoy listening to it, as much as I enjoyed making it.
