Google Play Integrity API: The End of App Mods and Alternative Stores?

Android will block apps installed from sources other than the Play Store — Google Play Integrity API is being introduced to the OS.

What does this mean? Developers will easily be able to detect if you've installed an app from an unofficial source and block it, requiring you to install it from the Play Store.
