I've had a pair of gen 2 marins since February. They're the most comfortable boots I ever wore in 20 years of doing construction. So far they're holding up fine and they've been through anything and everything as far as types of surface and temperatures. I also have the gen 1 solid black marins from last year's black friday edition. I only wear them casually so they're obviously still in superb shape.

I'm a landscaper and I've been wearing the Brunt Marin Gen 2 8" for almost a year I have zero complaints about the boots. They stay dry, all day comfort, and honestly one of the best boots I've ever worn. I beat the s*** out of boots bc of occupation but I ordered the USA Marins and they're on the way to me now as we speak.

I am 5 months in to my experience as a Brunt boot owner, and I am very happy with them. One day I may spend $600 plus dollars on a pair of work boots. All i know is these Brunts have been very forgiving on my knees. The reduced weight and softer soles have paid dividends for me. Someone may bash me for my choice, if thats the case, you can buy me your preferred pair of boots. I'll stick with my Brunts. I had an issue with the first pair and their customer service was excellent! They sent me another pair of boots no questions asked. Its hard to find an 8' laced up comp toe in their price point that isn't complete garbage. I paid much more for a very heavy pair of Cody James that were awful to my knees. To each their own. I love my Brunts.

Been using ariats for the last 4 years and been through 3 pair. Nothing holds up and I'll be damned if I have to spend over 250.00 for a pair of boots that won't last a year. I believe Thorogood clicks and lasts their boots here in the USA, but would not be surprised if brunt is really trying to get away with a lot.

There are regulations regarding wording and qualified vs unqualified statements.
My dad just bought a pair of direct moulded Thorogoods last month that are MADE IN THE USA WITH AMERICAN MATERIALS.
That means Thorogood clicks and lasts boots here.

Brunts may not get much attention and is trying to get away with more because of it, it's clear that most of the components are the same as their imports.
