I was raised in the Christian belief but have always found this song to be offensive. Not everyone shares the same beliefs. And aside from those who have taken their religion to the extreme (this includes the far right conservative "christians" who think it's OK to b*mb clinics or m*rder doctors) the every day members deserve to have their beliefs respected. If any one of the religions mentioned in this song would have sang the same words, about Jesus, christians all over would have been in an uproar. It's happened before. But christians think nothing of it when a song like is sung. And it's always the same defense. "Our way is the only way, it says in the bible". Every religion has a Holy book. Every religions higher power is just as important to them as Jesus is to the christian religion.
Just because you don't believe the same way does not give you the right to disrespect and make fun of other's beliefs. You disrespect other religion, you disrespect your own.
