I just had to pop in and say what an honor and privilege it is to know Pastor Tom and to be a member of Countryside Bible where he preaches every week. I pray that more pastors will be trained for expository preaching for the sake of congregations everywhere and ultimately for the sake of Christ's holy name, that the bride of Christ be sanctified.

Thank you for this inspiring word from Psalm 1. Not long ago I was a Lukewarm Christian at best. But GOD Has helped me turn around. With A Renewed Hunger and excitement for his Word.

The word of GOD is much more reliable than anything invented by man.

It's SO annoying when I hear a message that pierces my heart. When I get lazy with the Word and then I hear this - what a wonderful Savior we have!

All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, reproof, discipline and training in rightousness.

Anyone who reads this, please pray for me. I’ve been trying to get rid of a particular sin for a while, and with no success.

The view of Scripture for me is: The Word of God directing me daily. My prayer is to worship Him always for His Word. Have a nice day.

Jude 1:18
They said to you, "In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires."

Jude 1:19
These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.

1 Corinthians 14:1
Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy.

May I recommend the book “God Doesn’t Whisper” by Jim Osman, an excellent work on the sufficiency of Scripture.

The blindness... The scripture from Genesis to Revelation is full of God's intervention, miracles, speaking in person, dreams, healings, visions, prophetic words, .. As an example that God relates with his humanity personally.. He speaks specifically, he steps in supernsturally... God still steps into our lives and supernsturally does things... Jesus did so.. He is our example and we are to follow his example. He heals, delivers, words of knowledge, prophecy, raising from dead.. You find in China, Iran, Afghanistan etc Jesus is doing the same... And the church is growing exponentially

Once the Holy Spirit almost knocked out of my chair during my prayer and told me to tell my brothers and sisters during a stewardship talk to give from their hearts, I was shaking and I was a Nam combat marine . The next time the Holy Spirit, when my eyes fell on Jim, said “Go” at a time we were confessing our sins to our brothers and was healed from that addiction. As with Saul, I was on my knees weeping over my sin and Jesus was there, I heard him say “I died for that one too”. These are some of what has occurred, Luke 11:13 is true. You can be a new creation, born again in the Spirit. John 3.

Asher vs Baruch, both means blessed, but asher is happy or happiness. I am referring to the first verse of Psalm 1, and is the same word Jesus used in the Sermon on the Mount, as in Blessed (happy) are the meek and so on. I memorized this Psalm, the master psalm through which flows all the other psalms. It is this psalm that kept me from evil. Pennington did a great work on this subject, the all-sufficiency of God's Word.
