I lost my mom when I was 27. She was only 50. It is truly devastating to lose a parent!! It really makes you understand the brevity of life. ❤️

Your heartfelt message hits close to home. You can be thankful that he was able to make this decision himself and that you took the time to spend with both your parents. You also taught your children a life long lesson. You put family that needed you ahead of yourself, to be self less and caring during life’s most sad and difficult times. A life lesson they will need later in life. A priceless gift you gave to your children. Children remember what they see their parents do more than what they say. You were missed. So glad you are back.

You are downright inspiring. I’m so sorry for the loss of your father. Praying for comfort, healing, guidance, peace and understanding for you and your family in the days, weeks, months and years ahead.

Thanks you for all you do. Loss is difficult, but try to remember your loss is their gain. My brother passed at 52, 2 years ago. He is in a better place with no pain. Miss him but glad for him at the same time. ❤️

I definitely understand what you mean about postponing your own grief while you’re taking care of things and people right after a loss. Take your time and be kind/gentle with yourself as it surfaces. I’m sorry you and your family are experiencing this loss.

There is no need to apologize for sharing, the love you have for your Dad is beautiful and we are honored to hear your story. It is just so painful to loose the ones we love. My heart breaks and I am sending you hugs and prayers.

It’s just nice to know people care when we’re going through something hard or sad. Your Dad is not suffering any longer. He’s at peace. Great video. Hoping things go easier on you from here forward.

A loss can have such a profound impact on our lives. So sorry for yours. I I have now lost both parents, a brother and several friends. No matter the age, life is too short. God bless you and give you peace. 🙏❤️

I am sorry for your loss. Even though each situation is unique I can understand how the loss of a father can shatter your entire world. I lost my dad 10 years ago to cancer. He was 58. Grieving takes time and there is no rules on what you're supposed to feel. Enjoy every moment of life. Love never goes away. Take care. Sending you a big hug.

Been there. Of course all that have and will be, understand. Family ALWAYS first. Your health and mental well being, FIRST! Self care, my love.❤️

So comforting that dad was able to make his peace.

Oh Stephanie...I'm so sorry for the loss of your beloved Dad. I know this pain all too well. I took care of my dad for the last 7 yrs. of his life. I then lost my brother Mike 3 yrs. later to esophageal cancer. The first year is always the hardest to get thru. All those first holidays, birthdays, etc. are a reminder of who is missing from the family. The second year gets a tiny, little bit easier. I can't honestly tell you tho, that the heartache will ever permanently go away. Sudden reminders of them bring it all right back. I'll keep you, your mother and family in my prayers for the strength you need to get thru the grieving process. Thank you for trusting us enough to share your loss with us. Sending Love, Hugs and Prayers ❤❤❤

Just love you so much, and can identify completely. You did not "ramble" but shared your life and your heart with us, which was so gracious of you to do. Thank you for entrusting us in the midst of this vulnerable time. You're so right about the need to process everything, but promise me you won't rush the process, don't let anyone make you think you should be feeling any differently than you do, and know that at some point your most vivid memories of your dad will no longer be focused on his illness, but of a full and joyful life with him. It just takes time. Sending a big hug.

Thank you so much for sharing with us. Watching someone you love suffer and pass is one of the most difficult things to go through. No words can explain or lessen the mental, emotional, and physical exhaustion you must be feeling right now but please know that you and your family will recover from this and he will ALWAYS be with you. Sending you all of my love and warm thoughts! 💕

Please take care of yourself and your family. We will all be here waiting for you. My husband and I have been in EMS for over 25 years. We see lives changed in an instant all the time. Life is short, make the most of it and appreciate those people and things around you that make you happy.

❤️❤️❤️ thank you for sharing. This was so relatable for me and I’m sure for many others, and a good reminder to tell people you love them whenever you can - it’s so easy to get caught up and forget how quickly life moves.
