Yes for translated books!!! Translators are so important, they don't get enough credit for their work

graphic novels are also very good for if u haven't read in a while - they're almost always short/quick to read, and theres often many volumes to binge back to back!

I don't think is a coincidence that all of my favorite booktubers have the picture of Dorian Gray as one of their favorite classics, I guess it's time for me to read it. Honestly, I love all of your recommendations, some of them I've been trying to read for such a long time and I think it's time a read them cause lately I've been reading books that I'm not really enjoying so I hope some of these are 5 stars for me.

Piranesi was one of the most unique and entrancing reading experiences I've had. The mystery of it all really pulls you in, and it does so much for a book that's a little over a hundred pages.

I would be super interested in seeing a long books video because the fear of long books is real, but I read Gone with the Wind last year and it became a favorite of all time, so I would definitely like to read longer, more intricate stories such as that one.

“The cat who saved books” by Sosuke Natsukawa is also very good! So cozy and comforting, really enjoyed it and read it in less than 3 hours

As someone who just got back into reading after 5 years of only skimming textbooks. Reading a "short" <250 page book in a day is not easy but I'm here for it. Thanks for the recommendations, definitely going to pick up Convenience Store Women and On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous :)

I highly recommend "And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer" by Fredrik Backman! It's definitely an emotional read and is one of my favorites of 2022 so far

a 200 page novel takes me 6-8 hours, cause of my ADHD. Being this slow is physicaly painful lol

I’m definitely going to add some of these, I think I was expecting shorter books. I tend to read books in the 300 page range as a regular length book, so 250 doesn’t feel that much shorter, especially because I have limited reading time and manage maybe 20-30 pages a session (on a good night 🥴) Would love to see a list of novellas. The Yellow Wallpaper is a favorite.

I love quick reads when I need to feel like I’m reading more than I am. A video for longer books that are standalones would be helpful too. I find it hard to find some that aren’t part of an ongoing series and I have commitment issues 😂

I LOVE books that are written in diary format. It's an intimate experience into someone's life and also encourages me to wrote more in my diary.

A short book I love is Tuck everlasting. It's got a very simple and comforting message. I tend to return to it in the summer as it's also set in that season. I find short stories have a wistful or sentimental feeling to them, I'm not sure why.

the first story in Her Body & Other Parties is a story I STILL think about till this day.
I never finished this collection, so I’m going to take this as a sign to pick it up before the month is over.
