3 Tips that make the Whisperer EASY

This is a quick guide for the Whisperer, the mage boss added to OSRS in Desert Treasure 2. In this guide, I provide 3 tips/tricks that will greatly assist in extending your Whisperer trips as you hunt for the Bellator ring, Virtus robes, and Soulreaper Axe. This guide explains:

1) how to dodge all tentacles during the enrage form (L movement!)
2) how to minimize time in the Shadow Realm during special attacks
3) what equipment/gear is best to use

All this information in under 3 minutes! After watching this video, you'll be able to extend your trips and quickly get your KC up.

Hey everyone. One thing I wanted to mention that I recently learned, but isnt a Whisperer specific tip:

If you feel that you're switching your prayers properly, but the attacks are still hitting you... you might be right! If you're used to the timing from Zebak, the new DT2 bosses check your prayer at the time of impact. Zebak checked 1 tick before. Just make sure you account for that slight change when doing the DT2 bosses. I know this is something that really threw me off when I was learning these bosses.

Just finished my axe at whisp. Love this boss. If anyone is struggling your prolly just panicking in the enrage phase. Enraged phase always starts with range. Soon as you get into enraged phase att boss and run a few tiles. Hit the boss again and by the time you get mouse back to prayer book you switch prayer. This puts you in perfect rhythm. Don't stop moving. And always pray pot before entering enraged phase. Having to sip a pot while learning thus phase will get you killed

this got me from 4kc-8kc with a 3kc kill trip, a bunch of deaths but once you get it, you get it. it doesn't have to be those exact tiles because sometimes it doesn't work out, just a good general direction idea of how the movement works. thank you for this! the 4 way tile and the 3 inline tiles had me all confused.

Thank you for the tiles! I found the “diamond” grids in other guides awkward to use, but your setup makes it easy to use any part of the arena and position yourself comfortably. Got the quest done today!

it doesn't let me exit the shadow realm during the pillars once i've entered it and how do you do ground marker setup during enrage phase? my tile markers disappear when we enter it and i have to remark during the phases..

The tiles are pretty usefull.

Pro tip: You dont have to run around the circle of tiles if she is not exactly in the middle, just go back and forth on a few.

Enraged phase is easy if you remember its always 2-2 for the attacks, I like to ignore the tiles, and just spam run around her, remembering to run after every attack.
