Seriously, what happens in your business when someone leaves? Is there a solid process in place to make sure:

➡️ They can't access your IT systems after they've left the business.
➡️ You (or someone else) has access to their mailbox and data
➡️ You stop paying for any licenses i.e. Microsoft 365

Having a leaver process in place also forms part of the Cyber Essentials framework.

I once did an assessment on a new client and 16 people who had left the business (some as long as 4 years ago) still had access to their Microsoft 365 and the business were still paying for licenses.

Don't be that 👆🏼 business.

Include IT in your leaver process - you will have one. I am sure when someone leaves your business, you don't continue to pay them
