One of the best types of egg or flesh flies I have seen. I will be setting up the vice soon to add a batch to my collection. I would use this on point behind ether a salmon or steelhead fly. Or in its own searching pockets or pools for trout or grayling.

I never use while fishing for trout but certainly a must have, and in every color of the rainbow, for steelhead.

I’ve found that these, white mopfly patterns, and squirmy worms work well for stocked trout in Virginia

Sucker spawn patterns are a common fly for steelies where I am from. Not sure what's so controversial about an egg pattern, but that's just me.
