In the 80’s I tried teaching myself Swedish with books alone. I did reasonably, considering I had no teacher. I had no idea about pronunciation though.
On holiday in Sweden, I tried using a few words, but most Swedes wanted to speak English, or looked at me oddly (my pronunciation was that bad!). On one occasion I did manage to ask an elderly couple where the toilets were, & they actually understood me!!! 😀
I’ve forgotten most of it, but will use your channel to try to learn more.... even though it’s unlikely I will visit Sweden again. I loved Sweden, & visited 4 times in the early 2000’s.

Thats so cool! It is so easy to understand. Some words are similar in English, some in Estonian (furniture, plates..) Thank you for making it seem possible
