Semester 1 | Seminar 2 of Beyond the Classroom
These bleak times require a lightness of being and talking about love and laughter in ancient times is one way of doing it. We will explore threads of the most fundamental human emotions that tied different cultures and geographies together. For instance, how is a Chinese joke similar or different from a Roman joke? When and where did the first joke book get written? How is love expressed in ancient India? Watch this talk to find out the answers, and to have a little laugh at the expense of our forefathers.
