Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza achieves impressive four stars

The latest #SaferCarsForIndia crash test results were released today (September 27) to coincide with the inaugural Global NCAP World Congress held in Delhi. Maruti Suzuki achieved an encouraging four star result with the Vitara Brezza while Renault failed to impress with the zero star Lodgy.

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza with standard double airbags, ABS, and ISOFIX anchorages, achieved four stars for Adult Occupant Protection and two stars for Child Occupant protection. The Adult Occupant Protection was good and robust. The Child Occupant Protection rating was only two stars due to the forward facing positioning of the 18 month old dummy in the test though the 3 year old dummy received good protection. The markings for the ISOFIX anchorages were also incorrect according to Global NCAP testing protocols.

Positive side which I see is if Maruti Suzuki starts making cars with good build quality then it will be very tough for competition to catch up.

The day maruti makes a 5 star GNCAP rated car, all other manufacturers in that segment will have to stop selling their cars🤣 it’s just the safety front which is lacking in Maruti cars. Once this gets sorted, Maruti will have a monopoly in the market.

What’s more interesting is that the vitara Brezza is the first and only Maruti car to be designed and engineered in India… on the other hand, the S Cross was designed and engineered in Italy. The Brezza and S cross have been proven to be the safest recent Maruti cars… whereas all the other recent Maruti cars perform bad in safety, and ironically, these unsafe models are the ones which are designed and engineered in Japan. Another thing to point out is that the the Japanese designed cars are based on the ‘Heartect’ platform, whereas the cars designed outside Japan are based on the ‘Global C’ platform

When the Brezza can score 4 stars why does the new Swift score only 2 stars? It is their best selling mid segment hatchback. This is Unacceptable.

Adding features is not what makes the car safe. Maruthi will never fail the more stringent Ncaap standards. Maruthi cars sold in other parts of the world have better built Quality. In India fuel efficiency, features is what sells, not safety.

Good play from tata and maruti front crash test would give any car 2-4 star rating who’s having airbag. Now start making fools to whole india and brag about this
Would be happy if tata and maruti can get done EURO NCAP test with all sides as per euporean norms i m sure most of the cars would get to know real numbers and global ncap is very low demands compare to Euro ncap
