I always found it weird why Sindel wasn't dressed more as a Queen/Empress, especially once Mileena becomes Empress she does wear the whole regalia and such. She looks like she's a Queen, while Sindel looked like she chose a random outfit off an NPC and entered the throne room. And I can't be the only one who hated the headgear the game gave us to start off, it looks so bad on her and serves no purpose.

Personally I wasn’t a big fan of the art direction in general. The only character that I feel has a design better than it had before is reptile, I like that he is human that transforms into a reptile

One of my personal metrics for character design is the logistics of just putting the outfit on. If the character is supposed to be able to put on the suit by themselves, the actor should not have to be sewn or glued into it.

Maybe the gothic elements were toned down here because she became more of a good character and they softened to reflect her leadership as not as strong

Surprisingly self aware video, and you make a lot of really good points. I personally think Tanya was the worst downgrade in costume and character design, but this one is also bad.

Fortunately the PC modding community has options to give back the better costumes for both of them lol

I mean they made Empress Mileena’s outfit better and it’s good enough to fight in if it’s the outfit you have for her so they could’ve made Sindel with more flare and still have it be fightable

I do prefer your design. It definitely has a cleaner appeal to the actual costume. And also i agree with the white eyes it’s one of Sindels iconic features and should always be a staple.

This doesn't just go for Sindel, but why does like half of the roster have exposed feet? As someone who hates open-toed shoes, I don't want my characters to wear them. I'd say Geras's Order of Darkness skin is the best/worst example of this. The outfit itself looks absolutely amazing to me, but the only problem is that he doesn't wear ANY shoes with that skin, and I wouldn't use it because of that.

I think that all the costumes in mk1 is generated with AI thats why most of them look weird
