How Waterproof is 💦Waterproof💦 Makeup?

Have you ever wondered how waterproof is waterproof makeup. I’ve done these tests before back in the day before kids when we lived in Florida. Andrey and I would go swimming in the salty ocean and test the waterproof makeup claims. So, today, we are doing the same thing, but in the pool on a rainy day. I’m focusing on drugstore makeup that you can find at Target, Ulta, CVS and/or Walgreens with waterproof, transfer proof, sweat proof claims and see how the results are after I go swimming.

It has never occurred to me to even try waterproof foundation, concealer, bronzer, and blush, so that’s interesting. I’ve used and don’t much care for the long wear lipststains, but don’t really concern myself with them when I go to the beach. What I do use is Smashbox waterproof eyeliner, cover girl waterproof mascara, then I use and reapply a tinted sunscreen in place of foundation. I’m on the hunt for a decent eyebrow product that’s waterproof. I’ve tried the Stilla waterproof brow pencil, but don’t much care for it. I’m happy with the liner and mascara that I use, both works great.

I love this video. It's so legit. Haha! I didn't expect the foundation to go all patchy like that though... 🤔 I love Make Up For Ever products for anything waterproof. If you can try those that'll be awesome. I actually went swimming in the products and nothing happened, but their a bit pricey so they should deliver. Haha. 😘👌🏽

When I used to use powder formulas for my eyebrows, I would put the Urban Decay Eyeshadow potion primer (the original) on my eyebrows first, and then go in with any eyebrow powder (I used the ABH Ombre Effect Brow duo) and it would stay all day. I took my toddler to mum and tot swim lessons and they looks bomb after each session and would then still last with no touch ups until the end of the day!

Have you tested out the Makeup Revolution IRL Filter foundation yet? I love it and I would consider it waterproof. I didn’t have it on my face, but I had tested it on my hand one day while working (at Ulta), came home and got in the pool and it didn’t go anywhere. I bought it last week and I am in love. Perfect for oily skin, my face has stayed flawless all day when wearing it.
