Braid to Braid Knot (Proven knots that we use)

Показать описание
Braided lines are not cheap. Sometimes they get broken off while on a fishing trip, or the outer section of the braid gets aged while the inner section had hardly been used. Do we replace all the line with a new spool? Flip the line inside out (which can be risky)? Or, we can join a new length of braid by using this knot.

We use this line to line knot all the time to connect together two lines of the same type of material, braid to braid and also monofilament to monofilament (nylon to nylon lines). This know is also known as the uni to uni knot.

This is an extraordinarily good demonstration of a highly useful knot, which I just used to attach 30-lb. main-line braid to 30-lb. braid backing. The video portion was very clear and easy to follow, thanks in large part to your using oversized line for the initial part of the demonstration. In addition, your verbal description was simple and delivered at just the right, relatively slow pace—just what I needed.THANK YOU, Chris (Maine, USA)

I've watched tons of 'how to tie knot' videos and this was the first one that I actually got the knot after the first try. Thank you for saving me a maddening headache and a few cuss's :)

Thank you for the knowledge sir. Thought I had enough line on a spool to fill my reel. I thought wrong. Thank you.

I’ve really enjoyed your channel. I’ve never been able to find a braid to braid knot that worked. Either it came untied, was a big clump, or took forever to tie. (I’m cheap and like to add 100 yards of new braid to the existing braid on my baitcasters. But from time to time Tarpon fishing you can have more than 100 yards off the reel)
Thanks again! Very helpful and this is easy after seeing you do it.

You are right about thicker line having fewer loops. Yesterday I've managed to tie this knot twice, in two rods. But with many repetitions as the thick braid 40lbs would wrap badly against 23 lbs braid and it would end up with a bad knot. I was doing 10 wraps on both. Thanks you for sharing.

Good video...and listening to your voice is very relaxing, which is good for me because I get nervous trying new knots. 👍

Need to know if I can use this knot to attach more braid to a reel that’s not fully spooled

Is this good for 12 Lb braided main line connecting to 30 Lb braided under line? Thy.

Should be good. I need to unspool my reel, tie more backing onto the braid, then respool it because it doesnt fill the reel up. Ive never used braid before and it fits tonnes more onto the reel than expected.

Is this strong enough for surfcasting?

How strong is this knot if you are going to use it against tuna? I have half of my braid cut off while pulling a tuna. Instead of buying a new line and put it, I’m think just getting my old line and put it. But I’m just afraid it will snap again if I going for big fish.
