The first way through which you can block a lost ATM card is via your mobile banking account. To do this, follow these steps:
• Log in to the official website or app of the bank that issued your card.
• Next, navigate to the section that has your card details and choose the option of blocking or reporting the card.
• Afterward, state your reasons for blocking the card. Note that the bank might ask for more details in order to confirm that you are the card owner, so ensure that you have the correct account details.
• Once they've confirmed, you will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) to complete the authentication process.
• The bank will send feedback via SMS to prove that blocking your card is successful.
Phone call:
Alternatively, you can use the toll-free bank number to call the bank directly.
To access the customer service number, check the bank's official website or your bank statements.
• Some banks have an automated system that will help you block your card. All you have to do is provide your account details and the reason for blocking your card.
