With this video we will share a direct comparison between the Mooer GE 150, the Valeton GP 100, the NUX MG 300 and the Harley Benton DNA fx git. First of all we will hear the four units in action with a demo song, then we will compare the features and technical characteristics of the four units with a very detailed comparison chart also checking out how fast are to change preset, then we will ear more sounds, also comparing the units to real tube amps, and finally I will give you my 2 cents. In few days I will also upload an alternative version of the demo song played just with real amps. So I hope you enjoy and please subscribe and hit the bell, it’s gonna help me to make more videos like this!!!

You are not paying more money and I just get a little fee, that will help me to make more videos

Problems I encountered with the modelers:
Mooer and HB: not recognized as audio interface in my Mac
Valeton: the unit was in Chinese and I was not able to change it to English..then I had to update the firmware and then the functionality to change the firmware appears in the global menu. Then I had problems connecting to the MAC and I had to change the dongle…this is the first time it happened.

My opinion is simple: Mr. Leo Gibson makes the best gear comparison videos. Period. I can't imagine the amount of time a video like this took to be made, from conception, data gathering, recording, editing. Amazing...

Leo you are the most honest reviewer I have ever known. You tell the truth about every unit you review without any favoritism. I respect you Sir. After listening to all the tone the Nux MG300 nailed it. You proved that what I heard was true. I am ordering my NUX MG300

What an amazing work.
Like everybody here, I prefer the MG-300 despite its flaws because for musicians only the quality of the sound matters (and sometimes the price).

This is one of the best comparison videos I've ever seen. Concise and thorough with no fat and well anticipating all the questions a potential buyer might have about the differences between units. The comparison chart with all the specs is immensely useful. I struggled a bit with the gentlemen's accent but was able to understand everything. Well done. I'm now a fan.

Thank you very much for sharing this comparison. The truth is that the Nux MG 300 does not have as many amps and effects, but it is perceived that they are of better quality. Greetings from Argentina! 😎👍🏼

Leo provides the most comprehensive reviews and comparisons of gear I've ever experienced. His knowledge and understanding of the equipment is far superior to most of the other reviewers. His channel is my first stop for all gear reviews. Thanks, Leo!

Thanks Leo for another excellent review. It must have been a lot of work to compare so many features across the different units. Based on sounds, I think the NUX and the Valeton were the clear winners. I did come across some information about the NUX Expression Pedal, and some potential issues. There are 3 short videos on the "Helmut Shatner" YouTube channel that potential purchasers should watch first. Maybe Leo can comment based on his use of the Expression Pedal as well regarding those potential issues. Thanks

Thanks Leo, a most excellent review - you obviously put a lot of work into that! I agree with your conclusion that the Nu-X MG-300 produced the best sounds and has the nicest software interface, despite coming bottom in your technical comparison. It seems to me that this unit is aimed squarely at the domestic market, where build quality and lots of i/o are less important than quality of sound. Nu-X seem to have made all the right compromises for this market, as you suggested in your dedicated review of the unit. It is also very competitively priced compared to the other units.

I think Harley Benton repackaged the Mooer. It's pretty obvious you're getting the same unit. Awesome video with great comparisons via audio and specs. These comparison vids must take forever to create with so many comparisons....but thank you very much. It's only this sort of thing that allows people to make informed choices.

The NuX sounds so good. It would be interesting to hear how this compares to the Ampero line.

Great video as always! I really like your comparison videos, they're the most educational and most complete comparison videos in all Youtube... This specific one really helped me decide which one to buy for my daughter who is a beginner, and that is the Mooer GE-150. The deciding factors were: 1. It has the most number of effects, amps, cabs, so my daughter really can explore more, 2. It has the longest looping time that would really help her play around with different riffs, 3. It is the lightest, most portable and most trendy-looking, that I think would really attract younger users, hehehe, 4. The NuX may sound the closest to the real thing, but I really like the warmer sound of the Mooer GE-150 more... also, I'm not sure if it's just the video, but I noticed that in your effect switching part, the NuX seemed to kill the sound for like half a second when switching to a different effect, which for me, not a good thing in live situations. Of course, these are really not the types of processors that one would use in live gigs, not to mention that it's for my daughter as a beginner's gear, but still, worth mentioning. But then again, I'm not sure if that only happened in this specific video. Thank you for making these content, very, very helpful! Edited: I forgot to mention that you really, really are a great guitar player!

Grazie Leo, non capisco nulla di queste macchine con scheda audio integrata. Sto guardando i tuoi video che sono spiegati benissimo, e finalmente capisco anche l'inglese :-) Una grande risorsa il tuo canale. Complimenti. 🍻
