About the causality series at IAS
Causality is a central topic in many and very diverse research fields: from biology to the humanities, from physics to economics, from anthropology to epidemiology. Yet, methods to discover or confirm causes vary a great deal, as well as the way scientists conceptualise and operationalise it. In order to build a shared vocabulary we have created a ‘library’ of causality challenges in different fields. The presentations serve as the basis for more in-depth discussions on cross-cutting causality-related questions.
