Absolutely! My parents have been divorced for 20 years and when they were married, they were constantly arguing and fighting. People got involved when they weren’t supposed to and it was so toxic for me and my brother. 2. A call in the morning - don't bring any arguments here. Just talk as to what's for the day and wish I each other a great day.
3. Keep your data on at all times. - Depending with if you go to work or college, you may have different rules and regulations towards the use of cellphones. However, make this known to your partner.
4. Making them a priority. This connects with the previous point as depending whether phones are supposed to be off till you knock of or what. But make it possible that as much as others might not reach you, your lover should still be able to. This keeps the connection between both parties very well and can erase the issue of insecurities.
5.Then also your night talk. This is where you discuss everything, whether it's laughter or arguments or whatsoever, this is where you discuss it all. But make sure you always end on a positive note. Like remind them you love them, ..

I agree. It is important to touch base with the person almost daily. Technology definitely helps. I have been carrying on with a man 3, 000 miles away for 4.5 years now. But at some point, someone has to compromise. I'll be moving out to him in a couple of months because I can. He can't move due to the nature of his job. I also have other loved ones out there as well. So in the end, the move is probably more about me, but I am glad I made the decision. Long distance can never be a forever thing.
