here's a suggestion, you can right click the door again with a mouse. usually, the right click button is found on the top right portion of the mouse, if you are having trouble distinguishing between a mouse and a keyboard, a keyboard has more buttons to press than the mouse, now if it does not work, make sure that it is plugged in, you can find the usb slots either at the front or back of your chassis. (side or back if you are using a laptop)

Might aswell use a skulk sensor for that so u can't actually see the observer and redstone torches underground to turn it off

Pressure plate in front of the door and a gate in front of the pressure plate with fences along the side.
Open the gate and it will close behind you automatically and open the door at the same time and close the door as well

For people who don't understand or get confused on the pressure plate trick,

If the pressure plate is on the other side of the door,

First open the door, then if you stand on the pressure plate, it'll still stay open, then when you step off the plate, the door will close.
