What is your favorite belt for concealed carry, and why do you like it?

This series doesn’t have nearly enough views for the amount of smart tips it contains

Vertical rigidity, torsional flexibility. :)

Tenicor’s Zero belt is my favorite! It’s the most comfortable belt I’ve ever worn, it’s thinner than most, and just stiff enough so that it doesn’t sag, stretch or fold.
The unique belt buckle allows for infinite adjustment, is very low-profile and it’s barely an inch wide (freeing up space on my belt). There’s NO Velcro to wear out because the tail end of the belt is self-captured. It’s a great choice for Aiwb carry 🤙

Is there a belt like this that you recommended?

Great stuff. Bringing the science of carry to the people. Thank you Phlster

I know a lot of people criticize Groove belt but I use it under my board shorts that have no belt loops. I have it tight enough to hold my appendix holster very close to my body using a wedge. The belt is thin and gives a little stretch when I bend down or sit down

Currently I’m wearing a Nexbelt but looking for other options. I didn’t find it uncomfortable or being misshapen on a 32” waist, but it didn’t last a year. The core in the belt broke in the small of my back.

Do you have maybe like a top 3 for belts or any recommendations

I use a Grip6 belt. Fits the stiff but flexible to a T. I use with a Vedder light tuck. I can carry in suit and tie or business casual with ease.

EDC Belt Company makes a great option that does just this

Wry good point… I learned that the hard way… I use Kore belts now… they are perfect!

Thanks for these videos! Trying appendix carry and completely lost. I don't recall being this ignorant when I started carrying strongside 15 years ago.

The nuances of body position, wedges and even this belt tip have been a fantastic resource!

Mine carries very comfortable with a regular leather belt. No issues. IWB, OWB.

They are expensive, but the un tucked style shirt is the best cover for a cross draw appendix holster.

I’m a big fan of a regular stitched Hank’s leather belt. Leather tends to conform better than these stiff nylon belts. And I’ve tried a lot of them, including the Blue Alpha (solid belt but obviously tactical and the cobra buckle is really rattle-y). The magpul leather belt with the polymer liner is a great belt, but the leather is pretty awful and cheaply finished.

Any sources for belt comparisons in terms of things like stiffness. I have a NextBelt, and am afraid to try something different like Kore, because I assume they’re all basically the same.

My Kore belt is way to stiff. It leaves gaps and is so uncomfortable. It digs into my back when I sit.

I can’t understand the hype behind nexbelts/kore, I’ve been wearing (settling for) a nexbelt for about a year and have come to the conclusion they’re uncomfortable as hell. After a few hours feels like you’ve got barbed wire wrapped around your waste.. and the belt itself definitely prints a hula hoop around you, and the buckle system is ENORMOUS- maybe bigger guys don’t have these thoughts but as a skinny guy I was blown away by my enigma. I can wear my full size Beretta 92, the thing disappears and comfort wise I forget it’s there! (Joking, I always know where my stuff is)

That depends. It’s a lot rather dependent on the body shape, waist circumference and the thickness of the gun (+holster). Sometimes a wedge makes a gun print even more. Only specific body types can carry a holster with wedge.
