Splitgate has been out for around 2 years, but since it has been released on console, it has BLOWN UP. Concurrent players have gone from barely 1,000 to 100k+ in weeks and are still growing. So, as so many of you new players and beginners download the game and play it, I decided to make an in-depth tutorial covering my TOP 10 Splitgate Tips and Tricks for Beginners, to help you improve, rank up and use this games wonderful portal mechanic.

Few extra tips
Blinking portals mean someone is very close to it almost peeking into it
You keep.your momentum through portals
In showdown and takedown modes it is better to be near your team instead of being crazy with portals (this is more for ranked)

Another tip: with the bfb if you look a little bit off centered from your opponent when striking them your lunge distance and stickiness increases. It’s kinda hard to explain but once you get the hang of it it makes a huge difference

im glad i finally gave in to the server cue in this game and gave it a good solid few hours of gameplay, this is such an underrated gem this needs more attention

4:04 I had no idea the portal physics worked this similarly to Portal. This looks so awesome!

BFB TIP: Once you see the top of the bat open up, it means that it is in range of the enemy. You down even have to be looking at the enemy.

I started this game a couple days ago and I'm absolutely hooked. The game reminds me of peak Halo but with portals which is an incredible addition. The guns and variety are very classic halo too which is just awesome :)

Thank you for the tips. I was having a tough time with this game. I like it but I don't think I was grasping the portal tech like most players are. It's such a fun game with so many good options
