The GR86 is a great car! No it's not fast but that's not the point! It's sort of like an MX5, it's so fun to drive "quick" through lots of corners and slide a bit here and there in a controlled way. What better car can do that for the price than a gr86?

Lowering the car doesn't make that much of a difference for handling as you might think. The stiffness is what you're looking for. Stiffer suspension means less body roll and more predictably in corners, so stiffer sway bars paired with stiffer springs is much better than just slamming the car

Ey, I own a GR86 and I love the thing, and before you say anything, I also own a GR Supra, and I’ll take the 86 over the Supra any day, it’s more fun to drive

I loved my BRZ. Its an oversized miata. Its not about going fast. It was 25k for a rear wheel drive manual. It was awesome for what it was billed as. They complained about the torque dip but if you ran it in traffic the top end of the forst oeak was a good point for inner city driving without having to beat on it. So sad that mine got totaled.

I have a GR86 and a supercharged NA Miata and love them both. The 86 needs a little boost though.

The gr86 has very similar statistics to lots of 90s JDM cars except with better brakes. It’s not so powerful that only a racing driver can drive it but it’s powerful enough that you can have loads of fun in it
