Looking for the perfect title for your book?

Choosing the perfect title is no easy feat. This is the first impression readers will get of your book, so you want to ensure it represents your story well & intrigues readers enough to get them to pick it up.

Here are 4 foolproof strategies to help you find that perfect title:

1️⃣Use a noun phrase. Many great titles are simply a compelling string of nouns describing a person, place or thing (ex: A Gentleman in Moscow).

These titles are straightforward, easy to understand & immediately help us visualize some aspect of the book.

2️⃣ Use a line from the book. Select an intriguing phrase that reflects the overall tone of the story & has larger significance, like hinting at an important theme (ex: The Things They Carried). This strategy is fun because it's like an Easter egg when the reader spots it in the book!

3️⃣Spotlight a character. Incorporating an important character’s name in the title can instantly intrigue readers because they'll want to learn more about that character, especially If they have a unique & catchy name (ex: Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine).

4️⃣ Consider the genre. What style of titles are common in your genre? What types of nouns & adjectives are used? What tone or vibe do they give off?

Ex: Titles like The Only One LEft (thriller) and To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before (YA romance) give an immediate impression of the genre.

Alright but you guys see…. After yeaars of learning from author coaches like Alyssa, I guess I always felt I was an amateur. But recently two other writers in person have came to me multiple times on how to improve their writing and how to develop their novels. I’ve spent months working with one gal on developing her novel.

So again, not hubris. I genuinely feel like I have made a huge shift in my skill and in my current Drafting of The Ancient World series…. Like, besides the fact its my brainchild from age 9, I just know it will be something different the world has been waiting for and needing.

And you can tell I grew up watching Star Wars and LotR—I am writing the entire series backwards. Hahahaha.

Well the first is The Ancient World which happens.. currently. Then there are the 5 prequel series. Then I plan to work on the sequel series after all the prequels are done, then work on the CLOSING…. Final last book. A singular book series of what happens in the universe—Unuregnum—after Sophia returns to Earth to recreate Amon’s glory on Earth and repopulate the 3rd realm in the universe, the centre of Unuregnum, and we see the 3rd era of Amon Heim’s prosperity and growth across the known universe. An Ancient World: The Epic, will be the final last title in The Ancient World mega-multi-series universe.

It truly is the future or literary entertainment. All my thoughts and days, now, after 21 years of concept development—since I was 9–go into building the world, the characters, the everything. 9ft by 15 ft is my soundboard for building the novels and the overall universe. And thats not including my Draft, my cell notes and computer notes and written notes.

The Codex alone will be thousands of pages, a novel in itself. And I save everything. Fans will be able to deep dive into my mind through 3-decades of creation and publishing after all the series are made.

The Ancient World. I cannot talk about it enough.

Well, they currently actively destroy all original IPs from starwars to Potter to Narnia to LotR. All IPs are intentionally being destroyed.

But The Ancient World 24-book multi series is…. Frankly the future of literature entertainment. Call me hubris—it is purely humble.
