Οι λίμνες Ζερέλια ή Ζηρέλια είναι δύο λίμνες κυκλικού σχήματος, που βρίσκονται 4 χιλιόμετρα νοτιοδυτικά της πόλης του Αλμυρού και 2,5 χλμ από το Δ.Δ. Ευξεινούπολης, σε υψόμετρο 130 μέτρων από τη θάλασσα, στους βόρειους πρόποδες της Όθρυος. Ανατολικά της μεγάλης λίμνης υπάρχει μικρός γήλοφος (μαγούλα). Εκεί έχει εντοπιστεί προϊστορικός οικισμός ο οποίος κατοικήθηκε για πρώτη φορά κατά τις αρχές της της Μέσης Νεολιθικής (5.800-5.300 π.Χ.) και συνέχισε να κατοικείται κατά την Εποχή του Χαλκού και τα ιστορικά χρόνια.

Η ιδιαιτερότητα των λιμνών αυτών οφείλεται στην πιθανολογούμενη μετεωριτική τους προέλευση (λίμνες μάαρ, οι μόνες αυτού του τύπου που απαντώνται στην Ελλάδα) και στο αρχαιολογικό ενδιαφέρον του χώρου.

Η απόσταση μεταξύ των δύο λιμνών είναι περίπου 250 μ. Η μεγαλύτερη λίμνη έχει διάμετρο 250 μ. και βάθος περίπου 8 μ., ενώ η μικρότερη έχει διάμετρο 150 μ. και βάθος περίπου 6 μ. Ο πυθμένας τους έχει σχήμα πιάτου

Lakes Zerelia or Zirelia are two lakes of circular shape, located 4 km southwest of the city of Almyros and 2.5 km from D.D. Efxinoupolis, at an altitude of 130 meters from the sea, at the northern foot of Othrios. East of the big lake there is a small hill (magoula). A prehistoric settlement has been located there, which was first inhabited during the beginning of the Middle Neolithic (5,800-5,300 BC) and continued to be inhabited during the Bronze Age and the historical years.

The peculiarity of these lakes is due to their probable meteoric origin (Maar lakes, the only ones of this type found in Greece) and the archaeological interest of the area.

The distance between the two lakes is about 250 m. The largest lake has a diameter of 250 m and a depth of about 8 m, while the smallest has a diameter of 150 m and a depth of about 6 m. The bottom is shaped like a plate.
