As a 5th grader, in 4th grade there was a code yellow because there was a man with a axe near our school so the cameras saw him and then announced code yellow then the principals went outside to tell him, he said that his job was cutting down trees, so thats why he had a axe and than everthing was clear.

You should do a announcement for it, but not a “code red lockdown drill”, you do it without the “drill”. It really puts the students into thinking its real, then they take what they learned to action.

My work has Cengenix Crisis, alert system and I like those because it can alert much quicker instead of have to initiate lockdown manually

As a 2nd grader, I remember some kind of lockdown drill that happened, and we're about to go to Music Class (at this school every 2 days there's a specified class that we have to go to and 1 Library Class day that we had to go) so before we did that, the intercom announced which as soon as the mic happened, the person was panicking and told someone, and a few moments later, the person said "Lockdown". So after we hid and then, some random person cried due to how horrifying it is and then a few moments later we're safe and found out some guy in a black hoodie walked in the school with something like a knife. We're all safe after that incident so yeah we got the good ending

The reason why lockdown important as to take it seriously is to be able to follow directions, sit down and listen to principals announcement, and obey it.

If the student disobeys the drill he or she will have serious consequences of trouble.

DON’T DO THAT. If we have any type of drill, just sit down and be quiet and listen to the principal’s announcement about that. That how students need to follow directions.
