Princess Diana's gift that shocked and angered Prince Charles. In 1985, Diana decided to surprise her husband in honor of his 37th birthday. That evening, the couple arrived at a charity event at the Royal Opera House in London. While the prince watched the performance, Diana quietly slipped out of the royal box to give a special gift to her husband, namely, to perform a dance with the famous ballet dancer Wayne Slip. And so Wayne and Diana appeared in front of the audience, dressed in a white combination dress. The audience went wild. All 2,500 people were at a loss for words. "Just don't drop the future Queen of England," Wayne worried. He feared that Diana was too tall for him - the difference in their height was 23 centimeters. The audience gave her a standing ovation, but Charles' sour expression showed that he was not satisfied. After the performance, he told her that she had once again drawn the audience's attention to herself.
