My mechanic at the time told me there was a chain rattle at 60k miles so glad I didn’t listen
I now have a n57 with 90k on clock and change oil frequently - sounds better

Not chain noises.. Stop freaking out over nothing people🙄😂

I replaced the timming kit at 200k km and everything was fine. Just the chain had a lillte bit of sideways flexing compared to new one and little bit lenght. The tensioner was fine, the sprokets just like new, the chainslides had 2mm long wear signwith very little debth wear at one spot where the chain pressure was the most. I wouldn't change it now unless making some noise. (like regular interval swash -swash sound)

I have a similar issue..did you resolve the issue?? The noise disappears when i drive for about 15..20kms at good speed of about 70..80km/hr and comes back when i idle the car

its not the chain sound like the valve rockers that work on oil presure when car is cold the oil pres will be low so the valve can make a bit of a noise like this when its warm its usualy gone
it can do no harm nothing worry about i dont sound much weird other then the heat shield right there vibrating and making a bit of noise of the line above it that makes the noise check those out aswel
