Congratulations to Sue Christenson! She’s been recognized as the 2022 Fairfax County Foster Parent of the Year by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG). Sue has been a foster parent for nearly 15 years, and she is happily spending her golden years giving precious children a new beginning. As a retired nurse, Sue is able to use her medical background to make a difference for some of the most vulnerable babies who come into care. Learn more about Sue’s foster care journey.

THANK YOU. I was born in 1965 and someone just like you took me home from the hospital and cared for me until I was 6months old and was adopted. That person saved my life I would not have a conscience with out them as my adoptive family was abusive. You're very special.
