Ernesto Lecuona is one of the most famous and prolific Cuban composers. His outstanding gift for music expressed first through practicing the piano at an excellent level. Indeed, at the age of seventeen, he had already graduated from the prestigious National Conservatory of Havana with a Gold Medal for interpretation. Early after, he was already invited to give concerts outside Cuba, especially in the USA and Europe.

In spite of his remarkable talent for the piano practice, composing has progressively become his main musical activity, resulting in over more than six hundred compositions.
