Today we tour a handyman's tool bag with over 70 tools inside! I tell you the best tool bag to get in 2022 and what options you have. Over 70 essential tools every handyman, contractor, tradesman, or homeowner needs to own. Bring this bag and some specialty tools, and you can compete almost any job.
I have spend a TON of time and research on almost all of these tools to find out the best one on the market. I love name brand, but its not always the best. For example, the OLFA utility knife, Fastcap measuring tape, spring tool nail set are better than the name brands, but you cannot find them at Lowe's, Home Depot, ETC.

Finally a toolbag from someone who actually uses tools. Most bag tour videos I've watched were from people who look like they just went on an Amazon shopping spree maxing out all their credit cards buying all the Wiha, Wera, Knipex and Milwaukie tools they could find.

Noticed the red paint on your tools. I have an electrical contracting business and have painted most all our company tools, and my own, bright red. Every ladder, drill, or anything else even including extension cords gets spray painted red before it goes into the field. The day I started doing that we stopped "losing" tools all the time. If someone steals an expensive tool spray painted red or any other color can't pawn it or sell it nearly as easy, if at all. Almost impossible to get all the paint off and it stands out if it's being used by someone else. I don't know if you said what brand your tool tote is...but I like it.

as a NON handyman, but someone who has completed random projects, a plumb line might be handy. good stuff!

Thank you so much for this video man. I always forget the minor things and this helped so much. I know it’s years later but can we get a video showing your buddy’s bag? 👀👀👀

You're a man after my own heart. I'm an older female homeowner, not framing houses. I've only ever had a subby hammer. And I have three Fastcap tape measures with metric and imperial. One in my office, one in my wee shop, one in my tool pouch.

Strongly agreed on the leatherman. Mine has saved my butt many times, amazing what you can do with it in a pinch.

Great video. I'm a 80 year old DIY and use Tough Built tool bag with tech clip pouches to carry on .y belt
I use the drill bits etc on keychain holders for easy use. Most of my work is for seniors who can't afford the pro's. Have a good week
P.s
, a lot of my tools I've had 50 years. Tools will last if you take care of them

Great video man. Fellow handy man here. You should purchase a Nohlster clip for your drill. It holds 4 bits and keeps your drill secure to whatever it clips to. I can’t imagine life without it

I feel like I over-complicated mine 😅 I also have several bags for specific things, masonry, etc. I'm just starting and trying to drum up some business soon. Makes me nervous as hell but I'm sure I'll be fine. Olfa knives are great. Thanks for this!

Enjoyed the video! I carry a Leatherman multitool at all times as you do. I use wooden golf tees instead of toothpicks for stripped out screw holes when not in a hurry. You can glue a magnet to the individual pouches on a tool bag to help prevent a tool from falling out. Speaking of which I didn't see if you carry glue with you. Perhaps I missed it. Thanks.

Great stuff, thanks for sharing.

Im not a craftsman by any means, but the first thing i spent money on, when I first got my own apartment at 20 Years of age was tools.

I bought just the most mimimum required tools to try and keep things as minimalistic, universal and tidy as possible.

I spent almost 10.000 dkk which is equivelant of 1.500 usd

You just gotta have those tools to install that stove, or bedroom lamp😅

I know this is just your toolbag, but one suggestion I would add is:
Earplugs
Gloves
Eyeprotection
Also as a minimum an ffp3 masks if required for the job.

Perhaps even also a small eye wash 50ml.

Pretty good review. If you like well lit environment, go with Sofirn or Convoy lights. They are the best when it comes to price/quality ratio.

Good afternoon from the Great State of Texas. I enjoyed your video. I am wondering why do you not carry wrenches or a socket set? Thank you for a good video, be safe and have a good weekend.

You should try the Sofirn Q8 Pro light. It's not really a work light, but it's got a camera tripod screw hole on it. Just get a mini tripod and a clamp and you can put the thing anywhere. I've used it a couple times working on my vehicles and if you put it at half brightness it will last hours. Full brightness will probably run it dead pretty quick, but it's super bright. It's already super bright at half brightness. You can get 4 more 18650 batteries and double the run time too.

Consider a pair of mini bolt cutters. I love mine and they get a fair amount of use.

replace the file with a 4 in 1 file. Replace one of the pry bars with a Richards flat pry bar You might want to pickup a receptacle tester. I had a similar bag to yours very similar made buy kuny's the bottom eventually caved in over the container. You can try and put a re-enforcement liner in the compartment .

I recommend adding another drill. It speeds things up by not having to swap bits. Milwaukee makes the two sided ph2 / t20 bits if you dont want to buy another drill

Good set up looking into getting that hinge remover tool, one tool you got I don’t like that I also have is the Milwaukee Multi ratcheting screwdriver it’s trash still don’t know why I never went with the 11 in 1 Klein to begin with
