I’m reading Cicely Tyson’s autobiography, ‘Just As I Am’ & can’t recommend it highly enough. And she spills her impeccable health regime there - she really took care of herself - green smoothies, homemade raw vegan salads, constant hydration, an active lifestyle, daily meditation & prayer. In her book, she says she does 60 *pull ups* each morning on a bar hanging on her bedroom door frame, so I think the male costar here may have misunderstood her. Longevity is no accident nor is it genetic luck - neither of her parents lived to a particularly old age & both her younger siblings died decades before her of cancer.
