What do you think of Christopher Nolan's move away from comic book adaptations and sci-fi mind-benders?

Already wounded and after the field hospital he was in was bombed, my grandfather who served with the Royal Corps of Signals, crawled with shrapnel in his back, to the beach at Dunkirk. He was evacuated on the MV Royal Daffodil.

I've often thought that the story of Dunkirk needed to be made into a movie and wondered how it would be approached. I can't wait to see this.

One of my deepest regrets, is that I can't find the newspaper article and the photo showing my grandmother alongside him and one of his wounded comrades at a London hospital. Hopefully, soon, I'll get around to researching my grandfather's service record, and with a bit of luck, I might be able to find the missing newspaper article.
