I live close to Leeds airport and just checked my passport 4 weeks before travelling as well and they said it'll be perfectly fine. In my case I got it wet, minimal damage but some ink came through to my photograph page covering the expiry date and my birthday a little bit you can still read it.
The lady at the desk similar to Jet2 said it's fine as long as they can read the bottom long numbers and letters that's usually two lines.

Hey man, thanks for the video, it was a huge help. My passport also went into the washing machine and the pages are slightly wavy but otherwise everything is legible and it’s in considerably better state than yours, so I am not so worried. I have a trip to Egypt in February and I also hope they will go easy on me. Thank you and happy holidays!

I guess it depends on who is the worker during the day some people may be really strict and some dont care thats why they let u through as long as the details are in there cause my passport just only has little corners bent it doesnt look brand new only thing I am worried is will they accept it because of the condition doesnt look brand new it should look fresh

Did you get the passport checked at the airport on the same day as flying or before. 
I am wondering if I take it to the airport before my flight in 4 weeks time they will tell me.

Im living abroad in dubai and worried the people at the airport will take it off me if i even show them it.

Mine has become a bit wavy, info page is plastic so its fine, downloaded and NFC reader app and seems to scan be stressful until i fly tho in 1 week.

Thanks but this doesn't help much as if I go to the airport on the day of my travel and they do not accept it (in your case they did but there is no guarantee for everyone) then I will lose my trip and the money spent in hotels, flight etc. Is there anywhere where one can go to test it or show it to the authorities and find out before travelling?

I have a slight tear on one of the pages, would that cause an issue?

I washed my passport in washing machine i dry it but my passport picture is barely visible do you think i will get visa on it or it will work in airport??
