I love it, this is as simple as a taser which is activating all of the flammable gases throughout the tube wrapped around the construction and causing the noises as it vibrates the whole structure inside of the echo chamber that is the room that they were standing in. I love the design it's so simplistic yet it has such a futuristic element.
