"I think that's child abuse" and what your doing is?

Maybe he should focus on letting his son enjoy his childhood instead of making him feel as though he can never do enough.

I'm curious as if he had someosort of anxiety causing him to struggle with some of these things would the dad still be the way he is?

"Finding a solution is better than sex"? First of all that is absolutely wrong, and you don't need to be a genius to figure out why he's divorced?

Poor kid. Let him have a childhood- he only gets that once :/

I suspect the Dad is on the autistic spectrum. He seems overly focused an academia whilst being blissfully unaware of the social and emotional needs of his child. He comes across as standoffish and cold, seemingly unable to relate to others. Perhaps without him understanding the full picture and leaving us interpreting this is as conditional love. I imagine he’d be a very difficult person to live with as he appears to have little to no capacity to empathise. Children need unconditional love and nurturing. I hope he gets help to develop and flourish in his relationships and to learn empathy and understanding to aid his nurturing ability.

He says that when people say everyone is a winner it is child abuse. I say that pushing your children this far and telling them that you have to be the best and if not you're bad. Well that's child abuse.

I hate pushy parents! Encouragement is one thing, but being pushy is another

Also, if you win Silver in the Olympics it's not bad. That means your the 2nd best person in the world at that sport.

Being 2nd, 3rd or lower gives you the drive to do better. If you've reached that best level, were else do you go?

His father is totally ruining is his life also saying there is one winner and all the others are losers is just bad sportsmanship and a nasty thing to say, the child deserves better .

wish our culture could just understand that it is not about how much you know academically but how much you are willing to become a loving person. Shame that it never seems to go that way, instead you get knowledgeable kids suffering from communication break down and depression. How sad is that.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. I think that that proverb applies to this video.

The dad is only like that because he was never like his son when he was his age. His childhood is gone so he should not be allowing his son to not have a childhood.

he may be smart but with a dad like this he will have a lot of problems, like to have friends, to understand how someone feel etc

One direction was third in X-factor but they became one of the most famous boy-bands in the world. The dad's logic doesn't make sense in the real world.

Columbus didn’t discover America so I’ll stop you right there.
