We’ve flown over 200 roe deer fawn SAR missions since early May with our M3T and, to answer your question, the zoom link is far and away the most used. As in, the FIRST thing we do after take-off.

Next in line is the pinpoint function. Seems to be a bit kludgy at times, but still always useful. When we locate a bedded-down fawn in a field about to be mowed by the farmer, we send a team of three people (we usually have two of these teams) to retrieve it and then secure it at the edge of the field. They orient to line of sight on the hovering drone and we show them the map on the controller. Depending on how far away it is, it can take several minutes for them to reach it, which would be a waste of battery life if we just kept hovering. Instead, we drop a pin and resume flying our waypoint search plan. When the team nears the area to which we had sent them, they radio us and we return to hover over the fawn. If we had found others in the meantime, we pinpoint them as well and send team 2 in that direction while we assist team 1.

I recently purchased a Mavic 3T – mainly for doing Thermal Work.
However, when using it, I was a little shocked to see that all the functions on the Mavic 3 are not available on the Mavic 3T – No Raw, No Mastershots, No POI tracking etc.
Sure, you may say, why would you need these on a thermal camera, but why not let the user decide. During inspections, you still need to use the camera, so why not RAW at least.

Any more videos/references on exporting the kml files? I'd love to know if I can overlay pin drops to maps from Mapright, OnX etc...

I am unable to import route by adding KML/KMZ File. Every time i try to import KMZ/KML file it says "Task Type Error". How to fix this???

Off the subject. How can you get a actual map to pop up in the lower left on the controller. I know the colored map is there . But a actual satellite property image. I have onyx and not sure if it's possible to load it on to the controller.
