Holy Ghost!- Holy Ghost! ALBUM REVIEW

Holy Ghost!'s debut LP is buff with great sounds, songs, and production value. This is not some soggy, lo-fi set of dance tracks you'd find for free on the internet somewhere. This is a crisp, lush barrage of beats and hooks.

This LP is on DFA Records, and Holy Ghost! is currently holding the torch when it comes to the label's reputation for great alternative dance music.

A lotta the hooks and melodies here stuck with me instantly, but the game this band plays has been played before--but arguably, no one is yet to play it this well in 2011.

While I've heard this style before, it hasn't stopped me from enjoying this at all. If there's a great song behind the aesthetic, there's no reason to get hung up.

I liked the electronic more than the disco but this LP grows on me each listen. It feels like a dark new york disco with a surprisingly sexy twist.

Sweet Trip's velocity:design:comfort.
No, it's not new or anything.
But since you're into the wonders of computer music and synths you should really review it.
it is basically the most important electronic album of the decade of 00.

I love to dance! Fever Ray is still amazing! and I think you should review Burial's new EP, beautiful piece of work that is moving his sound forward. DISCO FANTASTIC .

You seem to have a wide variety of musical tastes. If you are into Psych check out the new Asteroid No. 4 album, "Hail to the Clear Figurines". I recently picked it up and I can not stop listening to it. They have been around for several years and I find it criminal that they have gone unnoticed.

Please if it is ok, review Jeniferver's "Silesia". Jeniferever is one of my favorite bands, and they don't have a big fan base and since they've been around for around 7 years and have released 2 albums before ("Choose a Bright Morning" and "Spring Tides", both amazing) i think they need to be reviewed by you.

i think you (and Cal...maybe) would like it (and it's fine if you don't), i'd just like to see you review them.

Holy Ghost! really impressed me with their ep last year, and I'm finding myself really loving the crystal clear production of their material, although some albums come off a little too clean, Holy Ghost! was perfecct for me...and yes, I love to dance!
I'm also loving that Tomboy album <3

pretty sure you ain't gonna do this but... review the new cheveu LP, "1000". You talked about excentricity and I think that in that matter, nothing goes further than cheveu, haven't heard anything like that since... well, zappa's early records and naked city stuff. I would be most thankful dude.
