This is the most visited mountain lake in Switzerland. #oeschinensee #kandersteg #switzerland
It takes a quick Gondola ride and a 15 minute walk to reach it or a 1.5h hike. It's one of the cheapest gondola rides 22 CHF per adult one way if you wish to return by feet to Kandersteg or 30 CHF both ways ( GA and kinds 15 CHF, DOGS FREE).

In summer you can for a toboggan run for 4 CHF in the morning and 6 CHF after 11.30h. Renting a boat to row around the lake and have the most unique view costs 28 CHF per hour or 17 CHF per 1/2h. It is possible to barbecue and fish in the lake. There are many kiosks and restaurants open for breakfast and lunch.

In winter the lake gives the opportunity to Ice walk across the lake ( always inform yourself well at the Gondola station ahead) or skip around it.

Medi the dog and I went for a walk to the beautiful waterfall on the other side but unfortunately a thunderstorm caught us so we had to run back to the Gondola lift. Also we saw the mountain in front on the lake crumble which was pretty scary.
