This is the second Cabela's game to not be released on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, with the first one being Cabela's Monster Bass.
It could be the reason that Sand Grain Studios and Magic Wand Productions both went out of business in 2009.
It's unknown why Oregon has Eastern turkeys, because Eastern turkeys are native to the Eastern United States.
It's unknown why New Mexico has Fallow deer, because Fallow deer were introduced into Texas during the 1930's. Fallow deer were also introduced into California, Georgia, and Rhode Island.
This is one of the few Cabela's games where the animals will not attack.
This game, along with Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2009 are the last Big Game Hunter series to be published by Fun Labs, Sand Grain Studios, and Magic Wand Productions. Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010 (released in 2009) was the first Big Game Hunter game in the series to be developed by Cauldron.
Desert Mule Deer are mentioned in the description for 1940 Arizona, but they actually appear in 1985 New Mexico.
During the intro for 1999 Oregon, a Rocky Mountain Elk was mentioned being hunted in Colorado, but it was actually Utah. Colorado isn't available in the game.
Since the animals have minor appearances in Legend Mode, the Beaver appears in both Pennsylvania and the Yukon.
