Does it correct material names on obj export? Biggest problem I have with Maya is materials being called "Lambert1, Lambert2" etc in the OBJ instead of "Door". "WindowFrame" or whatever I've named them. To get a correct obj right now I have to export FBX, import that into Blender, and export the obj from Blender. Which is a PITA....

I am confused. what's the difference between this tool and normal obj export-import? BTW to remove ''funky'' names just use free built in Maya namespace editor...

does this import the mtl and image textures and set it up automatically? I want an importer that works the same as blender's.

would this tool export out multiple groups containing a lot of meshes as separate obj files? the video seems to only address assets at the mesh level and not grouped meshes so i wasn't sure. thank you!

Thank you for this tool .Will it be fbx version? It could be very useful for game developer, remember location and get the name from outliner. Just one click and export or replace without warning.
