Written by Bob Crewe and Sid Bass. Arranged by Roy Glover Jr. Supervised by Mal Williams.

One of the 60s’ premier soul singers with an early recording. Hailing from New York, Maxine had a #19 hit with her own composition, “All In My Mind” on the Nomar label in early 1961. Later that year, she switched to the bigger ABC-Paramount label, where she had a number of hits before moving on to Wand, where she scored her biggest hit: “Oh No Not My Baby” in 1964.

“My Time For Cryin” was one of Maxine’s ABC releases and charted at #98. The song was written by Bob Crewe and Sid Bass, two gentlemen inextricably linked to the 4 Seasons’, whose career was starting to take off around this time.
