How long can you stay in your existing home after you close on a new one? Is there a certain number of days you have to move/list your existing home after purchasing the new one?

Hello, I have a contingency contract on a new construction home that would be finished with in the next 6-7 months....my house appraised for $297, 000 and I currently have a loan for $70, 000 I wonder if there's any changes on buying new construction homes that are not finished yet....thank you so much!
