Physics of UAP/UFO, Alcubierre Warp Drives, & Spacetime Metric Engineering with Dr. Matthew Szydagis

Oral historian Kent Bye speaks with Matthew Szydagis who is an Associate Professor of Physics at the University at Albany. Szydagis was a speaker at the Scientific Coalition of UAP Studies Anomalous Aerospace Phenomena Conference talking about "What is the Possible Connection between UAPs and Dark Matter?" I wanted to talk to Szydagis to get his take on the feasibility of Alcubierre Warp Drives & Hal Puthoff's ideas about "spacetime metric engineering."

The opening keynote of SCU AAPC was Hal Puthoff, who spoke about "UAP Studies: Managing the Transition Intelligence Problem to Scientific Problem" where he elaborated on his theoretical physics expansion of Alcubierre Warp Drives. Puthoff's concept of "spacetime metric engineering" takes an engineering approach to Einstein's Theory of General Relativity, and provides a theoretical basis for some of the alleged observed anomalous behavior of UAP through the mechanism of warping of spacetime. Szydagis sees that there's a strong theoretical foundation, but still has a lot of questions about how it would pragmatically be implemented and sources of negative energy densities that would be required.

Enjoyed this conversation. Need more scientists like these guys that are willing to get ahead of the game with UFO issue..

Dr. Matthew Szydagis is a breath of fresh air, a scientist with an open mind regarding UFOs and space travel.

Finally the light of science begins to shine on this perplexing and fascinating subject! Dr. J. Allen Hynek would be very pleased with the direction all of this is going. Thank you for the amazing discussion and content!

This is terrific. I have really been hungry for this kind of discussion.

Matthew & Kevin have got serous balls. Thank god there’s real scientists who are willing to investigate the uap issue.

Dr. Szydagis, thank you so much for your work. It is so encouraging to me to hear you speak. One evening in the 70’s my two friends and I had a Lazar ‘sport model’ come silently right overhead at 1, 000 feet outside my house in the U.K. we only saw it for 4 secs between low broken cloud. For the last 50 years I’ve carried that image in my head, which was so profound that it NEVER leaves you. You are now at the tip of the scientific spear as this incredible subject unfolds before our eyes.

Good to know that guys with scientific skills talk fearless about the issue...it's more than time for it.

This is fantastic to hear. I believe this is the most important topic/discovery for humankind, and it seems we are on the verge of it. Keep it up!

Ex prof at SUNY Albany myself. Congrats on the effort to get deeper into the real science of UAPs. Cheers

So refreshing to hear an academic with an open mind and positive approach

Well done! I taught Kuhn in a Liberal Studies program and also have a doctorate in LIDAR physics. I could listen to these two all night. It matters little right now whether UAPs exploit Alcubierre's warp drive but it's not crazy to offer that hypothesis. The point is we can intellectually comprehend so-called impossible UAP physics within the paradigm we now embrace. UAPs are no longer impossible - highly advanced technology indeed - but not magic.

I'M NOT EVEN 3 MINUTES IN AND I'M ALREADY STOKED BY THE INTRO! it's so refreshing to hear scientifically-minded individuals who don't automatically scoff at the mere mention of the term UFO! and now that Ufology is no longer the taboo subject that it was just 4 or 5 years ago, perhaps we'll finally learn something about them.

I am very happy finally that scientists are leaving their ego behind and willing to discuss different topics and realities. Keep up the good work.

Professor Kevin Knuth is very knowledgeable and a great guy, very needed in this field, much respect for him and his peers, I am glad people are noticing and talking about him, and I wish more people like him come out and talk to the public with some new stand od point. Best regards to this channel and Dr. Matthew from Montenegro.

I'm glad that more and more of scientists and physicists are coming around to this and are actually starting to figure out how this possibly could be true.

It is refreshing to hear a scientist acknowledge what we know and don’t know. So often it seems as though what is publicized (or published) has this patina certitude that is not only incredibly unprovable but maddeningly limited.

I also like that he points out that the challenges of those who are not white males. Sadly it isn’t limited to just physics, all of academia (and beyond) share this problem. It’s one of the main reasons I think scientific progress hasn’t progressed as far as it should have at this point.

Watching this video is a really nice intelligent refresh.

I honestly don't remember last time I was listening to normal, healthy minded people, discuss something intelligently.

This is the BEST conversation I've seen and heard on this subject. This guy is well balanced and is not polluted by the mainstream STEM machine. I stopped short of my doctorate because of the mob mentality an almost inquisition like atmosphere. Not to mention the downright theft of others ideas. The rabbit hole is deeper than a lot of us will ever know.

One of the best talks (if not the best) I've ever seen about this topic from a scientific perspective. Props!!
