Fixing A Kenmore/Whirlpool/Maytag Washer That Will Not Advance To The Spin Cycle!

Video shows how to fix a Maytag/Whirlpool/Kenmore/Amana washing machine whose drain pump keeps running and will not advance into spin cycle. This is a no cost repair! The washer in the video is a Kenmore 100 series washer but the video is applicable to many different models. Thank you . I think you just solvwd my problems. Because that is exactly what is happening my fathers maxhine is doing.its agitating and draing after the initoal wash and drains, but wont fo into spin cycle. Thanks a lot.

I have a Kennmmore elite model one of the pre-code models, It agitates and everything but when its time to drain for the spin cycle it will drain and leave anout 4-5in of water and then it fills back up and drains continuously. I have tried jumping the lid switch to see if its the issue but no luck, any idea what it could be?

Mine goes into the spin cycle. However, it starts filling with water again after the spin cycle is complete. Can you tell me why this is?

So how do you read the error codes? What is the point of getting into diagnostic mode if you don't tell us how to read the codes ?

Thank you so much this fix got me running. I had a code of F7E1 so I'm thinking actuator then what was crazy, it would do a full calibration as it was good, then I found your post on this, so I cut those ends and did a purge, then recalibrated and ran as it should. I have another fix I need help with. When you push the start button I'm seeing the hold board move and other buttons move when you push start. I have seen nowhere or nothing to tighten to eliminate that movement. Have you ever solved or experienced that problem ⚠️ before? This is happening in Maytag Centennial. The motherboard moves when you push the start button?

I replaced the control board but since then I cant get any lights. I have tried every code and still nothing. Could this be a bad board? Thank you!

Not clear on how you came up with the diagnostic codes. You did a nice job of explaining how to get into diagnostic mode but from there things went south.
How to bypass the lid switch?

I have a Kenmore 70 series it does not have any lights on it but I did what you said and it worked for one load of clothes then it stopped. Did what you said again and nothing. Any suggestions?
