Sad to hear of his passing today. Such an amazing artist. May you rest in peace, sir and thank you for the music.

So much talent in a man so humble and genuine. I don't think the world has ever fully appreciated JD Souther's remarkable voice or song writing. The Eagles owe their success in part to this man. Glen Frey tried to sound like JD and came close on a couple of the songs that JD wrote for the Eagles but he was never as smooth or polished. This is a song for the ages.

I'm almost 60 years old. Damn this song still cuts straight to my heart just like it did in high school. Timeless, beautiful music.

J.D. spent his career as a successful writer, but never got the real recognition he deserved. Pure talent. Seems like a decent dude too.

This could easily have been yet another hit he gave to the Eagles. I'm glad he kept it for himself.

Legendary writer most people never heard of. Wrote several songs for Linda Rondstat, and the Eagles. Wrote New Kid In Town. So much talent came out of Laurel Canyon back then. JD lived right above Jackson Browne with Glenn Frey in Laurel Canyon. Haunting voice that touches the very soul and an even better writer. Thank You so much JD, for touching all of us with your immense talent.

Nostalgic. Orbison-esque with a distinct 60s doo wop vibe. Always loved it.

I really wish this guy got the real recognition for the great songs he’s written. His contribution to music is so underestimated.

I'm 76 yrs old tomorrow and I play this over and over. WHY was the count of viewers dropped
from 1, 400, 000 plus just 3 months ago, at end of 2021? ( approx). Now it is only 466, 773. Why drop
1 million views??? What an insult to JD.

I love this song! That's when words mattered. Back when music meant something.

The very best of JD Souther, no one can beat his vocal, such a humble man. God gifted.😊

I grew up with the radio cause I didn't have many friends. There is no music like this in today's world.
