The western numbers are actually Eastern as well, made by Persian mathematician Mohammad Kharazmi had created the Numeric Numbers to show the numbers from One (1) to Nine (9) by the number of angles
exists in its graph and no angle for Zero (0).
The European later like his design and replaced the Greek Numbers with Numeric Numbers or graphic numbers

These numbers are basically the East Indian numbers, which were used in the Al-Khwarizmi state at the time of the Mamluk rule, while the regular numbers that we usually use are Arabic numbers that Al-Khwarizmi invented based on angles.
